Holiday Lights
Please DO NOT put Christmas lights in your curbside recycle bins. Cords damage equipment at the recycling processor.
Instead, recycle old, broken holiday lights at My Organic Market (MOMs) through January 31st and receive a
30% off coupon for energy efficient lighting. Or, send them to HolidayLEDS.com or Christmas Light Source for recycling.

Save Your Drains…
Most of the grease that causes sewer overflows comes from kitchen sinks and garbage disposals. Items that should not
go down the drain include cooking oil, butter, margarine, shortening/lard, sauces, dairy products, syrup and gravy.
Instead, place hot grease in a can and dispose of it in your household trash when solidified, or take used cooking oil to the
Alpha Ridge Landfill for recycling. Visithowardcountymd.gov/CookingOil.htm for more information.
