Plot Teasers June 2018

Post date: Jun 1, 2018 4:01:49 PM

Plot teasers provide information about upcoming plots in Stolen Hours. The information is available to any character with the appropriate backgrounds listed in the description. If you do not have the appropriate knowledges or influences, you're highly encouraged to find other characters that might as you've heard "hints" of something going on. The lores involved both give a hint as to what's really going on with a plot, and can be used to get more information about what's going on.

Backgrounds: Occult, Street

Lores: Lupine, Umbra

Threat: OOOOO Deadly

The New Hope Church has shut down in the wake of continued wild animal attacks. Parishioners have fled under suspicion of the area being cursed. Four dead in a matter of months is enough to scare any flock away. Priest Willis Harmon lamented the turn of events, but provided the following statement, "It has come time to acknowledge that it's simply too dangerous a location. My family has lived here my whole life, so I won't be moving on, but everyone else must. I hope my congregation finds a better life somewhere else."

Information from Street contacts indicate that Priest Harmon and a small cadre have moved into the church rather than abandoning it like the rest of the congregation did. It seems like that's just an invitation for trouble, and who would put a kid in that much danger?

Threat: OO It's just a production team right?

Another supernatural hunting show apparently still exists

Ghostfacers production moves to Columbus, GA. Having apparently mined all of the spooky houses and used up all of the shaky cam in Macon, the whole production team is moving to Columbus, GA. Expect new, disappointingly edited, obviously scripted episodes starting next month with a totally different set of pine trees and cicada noise as a backdrop.

Desperately hoping nobody watches anymore,

Threat: OOO Whose side are you on?

Violent Gangs Terrorize Columbus

On Saturday, May 5th a violent street gang committed an atrocity at the Homestead apartment complex. A sadistic combination of arson and murder, the perpetrators are still on the loose. In the intervening month the Columbus police have had no luck in stopping a rash of violence seemingly brought on as retribution for this heinous act. The streets are being torn apart by gunfire, fire, and murder. Unlike the recent troubles throughout Middle Georgia, none of the gangs involved seem to be branches of larger organizations. A local, diverse motley have decided to turn our streets into their war grounds. If ever there was a time to be tough on crime, it's now.

Rumors and Whispers

1: You know what happens every time the Anarchs get violent?

2: They get what they deserve.

1: Acknowledgement seems to give us carte blanch to break the Masquerade whenever we fucking want.

2: Then maybe they should get Acknowledged?

1: Maybe they just need an advocate.

2: Not again. You're already Malcontent. What more do you want?

1: For it to mean something.

-= Division =- by Andrew Sayman

Backgrounds: High Society

Threat: O What can a mortal do?

For years Mary Alexander and her husband Michael Alexander have held an unofficial, yet iron grip on the public health of Macon through their roles on the Board of the County Health Department and Mercer University Board of Governors. 30 years in public service and 40 years together have made these two an unstoppable force, until recently. Nobody with power ever avoids nasty rumors completely, but few of them persist for these two like the current ones. Different people amongst the well-to-do have stories of both of them taking late-night callers that they ought not to. Gaps in appointment books. Booking off-the-path hotel rooms at out-of-state conferences. Is everything okay in the house of Alexander?
