Plot Teasers July 2018

Post date: Jul 6, 2018 5:03:29 PM

Plot teasers provide information about upcoming plots in Stolen Hours. The information is available to any character with the appropriate backgrounds listed in the description. If you do not have the appropriate knowledges or influences, you're highly encouraged to find other characters that might as you've heard "hints" of something going on. The lores involved both give a hint as to what's really going on with a plot, and can be used to get more information about what's going on.

Backgrounds: Occult, Street

Lores: Lupine, Umbra

Threat: OOOOO Deadly

The Church

In June, Storms devastated the area around Allisons Lake. "It looked like a war zone," commented a local woman, "we just can't catch a break around here." Cleanup efforts have been stalled by issues with insurance and a lack of volunteers willing to return to the area.

The Gang

1: Looks like somebody left some scooby snacks behind at the New Hope Church.

2: That place again? Another candlelight vigil?

1: How about animal sacrifice writ large?

2: I'll get the keys.

The Prophets

Throughout the Occult world different objects are making sounds like a beating heart. Their nightmares are plagued with dreams of their own beating hearts being ripped from their chests.

"The Broken Heart pumps again. Frustration drives the fools to unwilling sacrifice. They will cower again."

Threat: OO It's just a production team right?

Another supernatural hunting show apparently still exists

Are there no good actors in the local scene in Columbus, GA? The average YouTube confessional video has more forethought and insight.

I went two steps forward too fast. To those of you that avoid the trainwreck, last night's episode of Ghostfacers took out a jackhammer and dug ten feet into the ground so they could lower the bar even more. The production team found two local rednecks to interview about the "possession" they experienced. After watching the interview I'm astounded that the Columbus police didn't believe their excuse for why they were waving unlicensed firearms around their neighborhood /s. When Redneck 1 looked into the camera and ominously said, "He said he'd take a slice out of me" I nearly died laughing. That is until the true tragedy of this guy's inability to even make the community theater standard rattled around in my head.

Desperately hoping nobody watches anymore,

Carly Simon

-= Division =- by Andrew Sayman

Backgrounds: High Society, Media

Threat: O What can a mortal do?

Early in the week a dossier started going around which purports to have all sorts of juicy and terrible details about the degrading relationship of the Alexanders. A friend of mine got a look at it and he was only willing to say one thing to me: Lieutenant Mayor. What fun is a sex scandal without a little politics thrown in? It's definitely time to get the checkbook out and figure whose going to be throwing the best campaign mixers over the next few months.

-= Watchdogs =- by Andrew Sayman

Backgrounds: Politics, Bureaucracy

Threat: O Paper cuts heal with blood but the pain is forever

Librarians, ever the masters of paperwork, have successfully lobbied to have the whole funding priorities for the year upended. The Telegraph is going to tell you that this was due to some uproar and an engaged populus. Idiots... this change was made the same way everything change is made: Somebody with the right dirt stuck it to the right people. Word is the dirt is still being dug. Everybody is backing down and watching their own asses. It's time for CYA all the way down to the lowliest snitch. Which brings me to why we're talking. My kid just joined a soccer league and those uniforms are getting expensive. I'll trade you a briefcase full of what I need for a briefcase full of all of those things I was supposed to forget.
