Thanks to Berdell Meiners for donating the wall clock which is located in the dining hall above the serving counter. This clock was from the original church, where St Luke’s stands today. The original church was called St John’s at that time, a picture of this church is hanging in the dining hall. At the time of the fire the clock was the last thing that was saved before the church’s destruction. The clock was in pieces and stored in the balcony closet. The clock was going to be thrown away but Berdell purchased the clock for $10 and had it repaired and used it in his house for approx. 50 years. Berdell felt the clock needed to return to the church and he has donated the clock back to the church. This clock has great history in the life of this congregation. Thank you Berdell.
