Reversible cushion cover, handmade
Oblong linen cushion cover (appx. size 12” x 10”/30cm x 25cm) c.1960s – stitched in stranded cotton.
One side with bird & floral design worked in various embroidery stitches, the other side in a hardanger design. Both typical of those transfers/instructions available from womens magazines of the time. The cushion appears from its inside machine stitching & seaming, to have originally been made as a reversible cushion.
