The 1950s was the aftermath of WWII and the start of specific teenage fashions & most teenagers not wanting to be like their parents!

My personal memories were TV (eg. Stranger on the Shore, Billy Bunter, Pugwash, Wagon Train, William Tell, Blue Peter, old '30s films), playing board & card games (eg. Magic Robot, Sooty & Sweep), pop stars (eg. Billy Fury, Elvis), school (11+, grammar, summer holidays, nature diary), transport (Pink Witch bike, old cars, horse-riding), reading (ie. books from the local library), crafts (eg. knitting, Mary Maxim, gingham)
