May 31, 2017 - A picture of the first concrete dam

I located an additional picture of the original concrete dam that I had not seen before. I found this searching through "Google Books". The dates are a bit off in the text. This was taken some time between 1893 1903 and 1924, as this dam was built in 1893 1902-3, and the new dam was built in 1924. but there was another construction project in 1903 to enlarge it to aid log driving This dam did not effect the reservoir water height, it only flooded additional area between the two dams and towards the Kettle Hole. I'm unsure if this was after the 1903 enlargement or not.

Edit: After further research, it seems either one of two things happened in 1892-3. Either the existing wooden crib dam was raised 5 feet, or the wooden crib dam we know now was built new, and there was an additional wooden dam somewhere further upstream that we do not know the location of, that was the original dam creating Stillwater Reservoir. The concrete dam was indeed built in 1902-3. I have struck through the misinformation from my previous post.
