2020 Stewarts Creek Arts Academy: June 8-19

The Stewarts Creek Arts Academy at (SCAA) is a two week intensive theatrical training program for students ages 8-14 to take place June 8-19, 2020 at Stewarts Creek High School. Students are immersed in a rigorous, professional, educational experience, combining fun, experiential, interactive classes with direct, hands-on performance opportunities. 
 
  • Daily classes in Acting, Stage Movement, Musical Theater, Creative Writing, and Choral Music.
  • Featuring a staff of experienced arts educators who are all working professionals in their fields .
  • Classes based on the National Core Arts Standards for each grade level.
Participants receive one-on-one instruction with distinguished professionals in each discipline and collaborate with other students on small group projects or performances. SCAA strives to enrich the student both as a performer and as a person by focusing on the intrinsic links between creativity and discipline and between reflection and character. Students will be challenged to approach the theatrical training through critical thinking, observation, and analysis.
