Who can participate?
The Stewarts Creek Arts Academy is for students who live in and around Rutherford County and are rising 2nd graders through rising 9th graders.
When and where is the camp?
The ten-day camp is weekdays June 9-20, 2025 at Stewarts Creek High School in Smyrna. The camp will be from 9 am to 5 pm each day for (rising) grades 6-9 and 9am to 3pm for (rising) grades 2-5. There will be an evening performance on the last Friday, June 20, showcasing what students have learned at camp. This is not an overnight camp.
Can my child still participate if he/she has a scheduling conflict with some of the camp dates?
New and valuable material will be presented each day so it is preferred that students attend for all ten days. However, exceptions can be made under certain circumstances. For questions about scheduling conflicts, contact the camp director.
What will we do?
Daily curriculum will include Acting, Stage Movement, Musical Theater, Music Composition, and Choral Music and will be based on the National Core Arts Standards for each grade level.

Do I have to audition for the camp?
There is no audition required.
What do I bring to the camp?
Lunch with a drink and snacks.
Dress each day is casual summer clothing which allows for movement.
How much does it cost to participate?
The camp fee covers the cost of instruction, music, t-shirt, and supplies.

Scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship you must first submit the initial deposit to secure your student's spot. Then fill out this application.
How do I register for the camp?
All registration must be completed and paid online. The last day to register is May 18th. You must pay a non-refundable deposit at the time of your initial registration to secure your student(s) spot in camp. You will be able to make custom subsequent payments at your convenience. The rest of the camp fee must be paid in full by May 18th. We will send invoices throughout the school year reminding you of any remaining fees you may owe. After you register, all communication about the camp will be sent by email. Parents/ Guardians will be emailed a complete registration form closer to the start date of camp. This form DOES NOT need to be notarized and should be completed online by May 21st.
What if I have to cancel?
Cancellations received on or before April 1 will result in a cancellation fee equal to the deposit paid.
Cancellations received on or before May 1 will result in a cancellation fee of $149.
Cancellations received on or before May 15 will result in a cancellation fee of $199.
No refunds will be given after May 15.
