Personal

I hail from the great state of Washington and the historic town of La Conner. I was born on Pangaea and thus have had time to make many scientific observations. This is the source of the intellectual material I teach in my science classes.

My family consists of my wonderful parents, Jane and John and my incorrigible little brother, David. After

leaving Pangaea and La Conner I traveled south with the sunshine to Occidental College in the neighborhood of Eagle Rock. After four years of pitching for the baseball team, studying economics, and learning my brains out I started working for Sylvan Learning Center.

Outside of my school work I love to exersice, read, or get outside to hike, bike, raft, paddle, swim, run, or climb. Some of my all time favorite experiences were the road trip I took from San Diego to Denali National Park, an epic backpack through Buckskin Gulch, climbing the highest peak in the lower 48, and rafting the Pacuare river through the jungles of Costa Rica. Check out some of these experiences on my photo page.
