Although it is required to choose one of the following options below we focused on the historical connection but we wanted to mention the rest of the options with couple of words as well:
Historical Connections: One of the first US unmanned drones dates back to the early 2000's which were used in Afghanistan. Later on, they became armed and were used for the Afghanistan war. The history of helicopters, the origins of drones, one of the first known was designed by Sir George Clayley in 1843 in England. Another man from France named Louis Charles Breguet made another concept in 1907.
The first commercial radio-controlled quadcopter in Japan in 1989.
Economic Influence: Before the 9/11 attack, drone funding was around $284 million and by 2016 it increased to an amazing $3 billion. The rising of drones has had a major impact on how YouTubers record their vlogs. Drones revolutionized how cinematographers approach their films and drones will eventually be a norm when it comes to recording.
Political Influence: With the rising popularity of drones, started in December 21, 2015, people are required to register their drones for $5 to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Also, a very popular called Amazon has made a few drone deliveries and they too had to go rigorous rules to get permission.
How it is observed in the world (geographical location): US Drones are not very welcomed in Middle Eastern countries. In Algeria they denied access for US drones to fly over their territory to prevent Libyan intervention.
How it affected policy and society: It has affected the policy because there is a certain limit to which how high and how far drones can be flown. Commercial drones have had a great impact especially with people involved with filmography. These drones add a variety of different angles for these films.
Legal cases: In 2013, there was a case against Mr. Pirker to a pay a civil penalty of $10, 000 because it was categorized as a model aircraft which had no permission. In July 2015, William Meredith shot down David Boggs' drone because it was trespassing his territory and from there even more FAA regulations were created.
