Hello, we are Eloisa and Zach from Dove Science Academy. We decided to choose the 3D hologram pyramid as our PBL project. Our project is a 3D hologram pyramid for tablets or smartphones. The hologram pyramid is a device that can be made by manipulating a sheet of plastic into the shape of a pyramid with its top cut off. The device creates a three dimensional illusion for the viewer, and makes an image or video look as though it is in midair. Holography started in 1947, when a British scientist named Deniss Gavor developed the theory of holography while working to improve the resolution of an electron in a microscope. We have been working to further develop holography since. We are beginning to see it more in media today, such as in film and in art. The term hologram comes from the Greek words holo and gramma. Holo means whole and gramma means message.
