Congratulations to our 2019 App Contestant Presenters! We are so proud of your accomplishments.
1st: Ella and Chloe will be going to the next level at Washington DC in April 2020. Their compassion and innovation as well as CS skills were so appreciated by the Congressman and judges. Congressman Perlmutter "You were excellent. Everyone was excellent but Safe Space was top notch."
3rd: 7th Family Maker leaders, Angel, Laisha, and Veronica earned rookies of the year for their Immigration Support app. Angel's code to translate Spanish to English and English to Spanish along with an easy way to get your GPS location at a click of a button to send to a contact saying you need help blew the judges away.
Caitlyn, Dawna and Austin presented their Kids do Coding app to sell 3d printed key chains and other items to raise money to provide students that do not have access to computers at home a Raspberry Pi. They are also creating a way for organizations to donate equipment.
Anika and Keylea presented their Fitness Organization App they are creating for Mr. Gilchrist so students can share their fitness card online. They created a teacher sign in to see the spreadsheet of their fitness card and a student sign in to enter their information in the form.
Camila and Jessica presented their point sheet app they are creating for Mrs. Pentzer where students can log into see their spreadsheet and teachers can login to fill out a form on how a student did that day.
