ANGLICAN ATTITUDE TO MARRIAGE
There are no easy solutions to all the complex problems facing marriage, and the family living in today’s world. But, we in this Parish take preparing couples for Marriage very seriously, and have made extra time and facilities available to prepare them more effectively.
We are providing the resources needed to allow couples to be prepared as well as they can for their marriage.
It is important to note that the pre-marriage course is considered essential, if you are planning on being married here at Saint Thomas'. We do not marry couples that have not completed the marriage preparation first.
DATE AND TIME
It is wise to include the Priest in your discussion of the date and time of the wedding. Do not go ahead with the printing and sending out of invitations until he has confirmed the booking of the Church and the time of the Service.
BOOKING FOR A WEDDING (At Saint Thomas' or a Garden Wedding)
First contact the Church office (9742 4555) and book the date and time you wish. Then no later than 6 months and no earlier than 18 months prior to your wedding contact the Parish Priest to confirm arrangements and arrange your first interview.
BOOKING FEE TO SECURE YOUR WEDDING DATE/TIME
There is a booking fee which must be paid to secure your wedding date. Contact the church office for current pricing.
If this fee is not paid within 14 days of your verbal booking, then this date cannot be guaranteed.
Send cheque and confirmation of date & time to 117 Synnot St Werribee Vic 3030. Call the office a week later (9742 4555) to confirm your cheque has arrived & the date has been secured.
AT THE FIRST INTERVIEW
We ask you to bring your birth certificate or extract of birth and if divorced, the final decree notice.
We look forward to playing a part in your special day.
