Welcome to the P&C of Sydney Secondary College, Balmain Campus
The P&C is a community of parents and carers that aims to unite the school community through initiatives and events, and active support of students and teachers. We have a strong presence in the school and we ensure that the voices of parents and carers are heard in key decisions.
Check out the P&C second-hand uniform website. All funds raised go towards the school. Donate clean, good quality current Balmain Campus uniform items at the front office.
SSC Balmain P&C Small Grants Program
Our small grants program provides up to $500 (inc GST) per grant to help facilitate student-led projects within the school including extra-curricular activities for the students and staff, and for the benefit of the community. Funds can contribute to the purchase of goods and services, travel, memberships, advice, meals/ catering or any other project-related cost. Successful projects can reapply for funding for expansion and/or diversification up to three times. At the end of every project funded, a one page evaluation of the project, a visual record and all receipts are to be provided by the students involved. Project proposals are prepared by students nominating the project. Applications are submitted to the Principal for approval and then considered at the next P&C meeting. The P&C donates money to support a range of school initiatives including:

Financial contributions to students' charity drive in support of two women's shelters
A voluntary P&C levy of $55 per student per annum is included in the fee statements issued by the school. Parents and carers pay the school directly. The P&C relies on these voluntary contributions to meet the funding requests received throughout the year from students, teachers and School Executive.
Become a Financial Member
The P&C Federation requires that anyone who wants to vote at a meeting, or to stand for office, must be a paid-up financial member of the P&C Association.
The P&C membership fee is just $5 which you can deposit directly into the P&C bank account (see below). Once you've made the payment, please send an email to our Treasurer so that they know where to send your receipt: pandcsscbalmain@gmail.com

Please note that everyone can attend P&C meetings and events - you don't need to be a financial member. And of-course volunteers are always warmly welcomed for various tasks and projects. You don't need to be a financial member or a member of a committee to do this either.
The membership fee is in addition to the P&C contribution that you might have paid to the school when paying the school fees.
