About the SCA
WELCOME TO THE SPRINGFIELD CIVIC ASSOCIATION!
The Springfield Civic Association (SCA) is an all-volunteer organization that brings the community together, sponsors community events, and represents the community before arms of local government. The SCA is run by a Board of Directors that includes ten officers.
Important issues we represent the community on include:
Pedestrian and Cyclist Safety
Westwood Shopping Center development
Speeding and traffic
Security and crime prevention
Zoning and development
Trees and parks
Airplane Noise
We hold community meetings at least twice a year (see calendar):
Spring Community Meeting - April/May
Fall Community Meeting & Officer Election - October/November

Montgomery County Quiet Skies Coalition (MCQSC)
A coalition of community organizations working together to reduce airplane noise and pollution over our community.
