Course Description:
This course is an introduction to modern particle physics. Starting from relativistic quantum mechanics, we will discuss elementary quantum field theory. The goal of the class will be to compute standard processes in quantum electrodynamics to lowest order in perturbation theory. If time allows we will also discuss renormalization and loop corrections within QED.
The students are recommended to have taken advanced quantum mechanics before
