Parent & Child Development

This class promotes positive family relationships and stability and strengthens parenting and guidance skills. This course actively emphasizes self-esteem, parenting choices and decisions, and stages of prenatal, and physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. Safety and health practices, evaluation of child-care services, and careers in child development are included. Students participate in a "playschool" involving preschool-age children.
