The ASP-17ml gunsight was installed in aircraft which served as fighter-interceptors.

It interfaces with on-board radar, Irsta and the Blue-SM datalink systems.

ASP-23D symbology is almost identical to its successor, the ASP-17ml,

as documented thoroughly in the ASP-23D, S-23E and Mig-23MF manuals.
