Unofficial MiG OKB entry for MiG-21M (Type 96)
Modification of MiG-21SM interceptor-fighter for export delivery.
Engine was R-11F2S-300.
The aircraft was equipped with RP-21ML radar (RP-21M was an export version) and ASP-PFD sight system.
K-13R missiles were excluded from armament system.
The aircraft was built at the plant "Znamya Truda" from 1968 to 1971.
In 1971 the production license were given to the Indian aviation plant and on February 14th, 1973, first MiG-21M aircraft went into service.
