Marco Island is six miles long, four miles wide and is located between Naples and the Everglades. Winter daytime temperatures range on average from the mid 70s to mid 80s and evening temperatures range on average from the mid 50s to low 60s. Summer is great on Marco with temperatures rarely above the low 90's with refreshing breezes off the Gulf. Marco has approximately 16,000 year-round residents. This number swells to over 40,000 during the winter months.

More than 200 species of birds, including the American Bald Eagle, live on Marco. The island also provides a habitat for Loggerhead sea turtles, dolphins and the manatee. On the western shore of Marco, vacationers and residents enjoy a 3 1/2 mile white-sand crescent beach.
Watching the many varieties of boats and recreational activities that abound in and above the waters at the beach is a constant source of entertainment. You can watch the fish jumping out of the water, various birds grazing the shoreline, and the pelicans diving for food. You can also join in the fun yourself and try your hand at scuba diving, fishing, parasailing or hop on a wave runner. Kayaking the numerous waterways is another peaceful way to spend some time.
