Hambledon

About Hambledon.

This hillside site in the centre of the village of Hambledon was donated to the National Trust by villagers who bought the Down. It is known as Speltham Down, it is only a small site (17 acres) and mainly consists of unimproved downland.

What sort of jobs do we do at Hambledon?

Although we do not visit here very often, the sort of tasks we have been involved in at this site include fencing, erosion control, step building to help with visitor access, and we have tried some hedge laying.
