Hamble River

About The Hamble River.

The Hampshire Wildlife Trust manages the part of the Hamble River that the National Trust own, close to the village of Curbridge. It consists of 78 acres of ancient woodland, farmland and the tidal reaches of the River Hamble.

What sort of jobs do we do at the Hamble River?

This tends to be one of the sites in our area that we do not visit very often. In the past our main work has been either helping with repairs to help with erosion control or improving visitor access by building a number of board walks. There is also the inevitable litter to be collected from the river banks and reed beds.

It's a lovely spot to work.

There's always plenty of litter to pick up.

It looks so much better when it's been done.

The reed beds that catch the litter.
