The Association retains the services of a trash collection and recycling company for curbside collection. Currently, the Cluster's contractor is Republic Services.
Mondays after 7am: Trash and yard debris collection (items may be put out as early as 6pm Sunday)
Thursdays after 7am: Trash and recycling collection (items may be put out as early as 6pm Wednesday)
Empty trash bins and recycling containers should be removed from sight by the evening of collection day.
There will be no pick-ups when a collection day falls on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. When collection falls on one of the aforementioned holidays, hold your trash or recyclables until the next scheduled pick-up day. In addition, Republic Services reserves the right to cancel collection services on days or in areas in which they deem the roads to be unsafe because of accumulation of snow or ice. There will be no makeup days on those days; just hold your trash and recyclables until the next regularly scheduled pick-up day.
Trash set out for collection can include general household trash and garbage, and small furniture and household equipment.
Please set out trash for collection in covered trash bins in order to keep wild or domesticated animals and birds from getting into the garbage and scattering it around. Alternatively, if a covered bin is not used, please use heavy duty black trash bags tied securely shut to avoid attracting wildlife or spilling contents. On days with high winds, please ensure you secure your trash bins so they do not blow trash throughout the community.
Accepted recycling items:
Aluminum Cans
Cardboard
Glass Bottles and Jars
Plastic Bottles
Magazines
Paper
Paperboard
Phonebooks
Items not on this list are not recyclable and should be disposed of in the regular household trash.
Glass, plastic, and metal items can be placed loose in a recycling bin. Newspapers and magazines should be in a recycling bin, in a paper bag, or tied securely with twine. (There is no need to separate out your plastic, cardboard, and cans since this is done at the recycling center). Large cardboard may be flattened and stacked next to other recyclables.
Republic Services asks all residents to set out loose cardboard on recycling collection day ONLY. Please do not put out loose cardboard with the trash pickup on Mondays. Cardboard will not be accepted on trash collection days. This only applies to cardboard that is at the curb, outside of your trash container.
Please do not include plastic bags or set out recycling in plastic bags. Clean dry plastic bags may be recycled at all local grocery stores.
Current full recycling guidelines can be found at https://www.republicservices.com/recycling-guide?tab=local (scroll down and enter your address for the customized local guidance)
