Katerina Canyon served as poet laureate of Sunland-Tujunga from 2001 to 2003. She was nominated for Pushcarts in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Her latest book, Surviving Home (2021), was a Heartland Review finalist, and is now available through Kelsay Books. She currently lives in Northeast Seattle. Visit her website.

Kibibi Monié is a native of Seattle and the executive and artistic director of Nu Black Arts West Theatre, the oldest African-American theater company in Washington state. She is an accomplished actor, singer, and director and has written several one-act plays. She wrote her first play at the age of nine and is a new member of Seattle’s African-American Writers’ Alliance. She is featured in the newly published Black Writers Unmasked poetry anthology.
