Benjamin Schmitt is the Best Book Award and Pushcart-nominated author of three books, most recently Soundtrack to a Fleeting Masculinity. His poems have appeared in Antioch Review, Hobart, Worcester Review, Columbia Review, Roanoke Review, and elsewhere. A cofounder of Pacifica Writers’ Workshop, he has also written articles for the Seattle Times and At the Inkwell. He lives in Seattle with his wife and children.

Jeanine Walker holds a Ph.D. in creative writing and literature from the University of Houston. Jeanine has published poems in Chattahoochee Review, Prairie Schooner, Third Coast, and other journals. She works as a writing coach for adults, teaching poetry to elementary school students through Writers in the Schools, and leads a drop-in monthly writing circle at the West Seattle Branch of the Seattle Public Library. Jeanine is a coproducer and host of Mixed Bag, a comedy and music literary event at Hugo House.
