February 15, 2018 — Nasty Women Poets Anthology

This reading features contributors to Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse, edited by Grace Bauer and Julie Kane, Lost Horse Press, 2017. This timely collection speaks to the stereotypes and expectations women have faced dating back to Eve, and to the long history of women resisting those limitations.

Readers: Jennifer Bullis, Sarah Jones, Heidi Seaborn, and Carolyne Wright

Jennifer Bullis is the author of Impossible Lessons (MoonPath Press), and her manuscript “Wild-Caught Gods” is a finalist for the 2017 Moon City Poetry Prize.

Sarah Jones is on the staff of Poetry Northwest. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Entropy, The Normal School, New Ohio Review, Raven Chronicles, City Arts, Yes, and Poetry. Her website is www.sarahjonespoet.com.

Heidi Seaborn starting writing poetry in 2016. Her work appears in more than fifty journals and anthologies. Heidi’s chapbook, Finding My Way Home, was just published by Finishing Line Press.

Carolyne Wright’s new book is This Dream the World: New & Selected Poems (Lost Horse, 2017). Her anthology, Raising Lilly Ledbetter: Women Poets Occupy the Workspace (Lost Horse, 2015), received ten Pushcart nominations.
