James Rodgers has lived in Pacific, Washington for almost two decades, and has been writing poetry since college, except for a few years after the bad advice of a college professor. James has three self-published chapbooks, Ha Ha Very Funny, Love Fits, and Haikooky. In 2018, MoonPath Press published his first full book, They Were Called Records, Kids. He has had poems published in multiple publications, and has won multiple awards, including first prize in the Washington Poets Association humor category. Emilie Rommel Shimkus is a Pacific Northwest actor, singer, and writer. She is most known (and cosplayed) for her role as a bard in the award-winning webseries JourneyQuest. She is a member of Creative Colloquy and Northwest Renaissance Poets, and hosts a monthly reading and open mic in Auburn. Her short film, Tell Your Children (www.poetryshorts.org), is based on her original poetry and inspired by women in myth and fairy tale, now in festivals.
