Two Sylvias Press was founded in 2010 by Seattle-area poets Kelli Russell Agodon and Annette Spaulding-Convy with the belief that great writing is good for the world. Two Sylvias publishes poetry, anthologies, memoir, creativity tools, and books that focus on the craft of writing. The majority of their publications are available in both print and eBook format. In 2011, Two Sylvias published the first eBook anthology of women’s poetry, Fire On Her Tongue, which is widely used for writing workshops and college courses. In 2014, Two Sylvias released the bestselling craft and creativity book, The Daily Poet: Day-By-Day Prompts For Your Writing Practice and The Poet Tarot: A Deck of Creative Exploration. Two Sylvias also offers online poetry retreats, an annual chapbook contest, an annual contest for women poets over age 50, and a full-length manuscript contest beginning in spring of 2017.Reading for Two Sylvias Press are Jeannine Hall Gailey, Natasha Kochicheril Moni, Michael Schmeltzer, and Molly Tenenbaum.

Jeannine Hall Gailey served as Redmond's second poet laureate. Natasha Kochicheril Moni is a naturopathic doctor and a writer. Her poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews have appeared in more than fifty-five journals including Verse, Magma, Pank, Diagram, and Indiana Review. Michael Schmeltzer is the author of Elegy/Elk River (Floating Bridge Press, 2015) and of Blood Song (Two Sylvias Press, 2016), his debut full-length book, which was recently named as a finalist for the Julie Suk Award.
