Nicole J. Persun started writing poetry during her studies under well-known poet Gary Copeland Lilley. Alongside her novel writing career, which started at age sixteen when Booktrope Editions published her young adult fantasy novel, A Kingdom’s Possession, Nicole has seen many of her poems published by small literary journals. While she finds writing inspiration in biology, astronomy, archaeology, psychology, and artistic discovery, her primary inspiration for her poems is history. Nicole often speaks at libraries, writer’s groups, and writer’s conferences across the country. Currently pursuing a degree in creative writing, Nicole lives in Washington State.
