Judith Skillman’s book, Heat Lightning: New and Selected Poems 1986-2006, was published in April, 2006 by Silverfish Review Press. Her tenth book, The Coppelia, Certain Digressions, was released in October 2006 from David Robert Books. The Carnival of All or Nothing is forthcoming from Cervena Barva Press. Skillman is the recipient of the Eric Mathieu King Fund Award from the Academy of American Poets for Storm, from Blue Begonia Press, 1998. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, Field, The Southern Review, Northwest Review, The Iowa Review, Prairie Schooner, and other journals. Janée J. Baugher, originally from Renton, Washington, holds a BS from Boston University and an MFA from Eastern Washington University. Currently she teaches poetry at the University of Washington’s Experimental College. Her prose and poetry has been widely published, and adapted for the stage and set to music. Her first poetry manuscript, Coordinates of Yes, was a semifinalist for the 2005 Tupelo First Book Prize. In 2006, her second manuscript, The Body’s Physics, was a semifinalist for the Saturnalia Books Poetry Prize and a finalist for the Ontario Prize. She presented a creative writing pedagogy paper at the 2007 Association of Writers and Writing Programs conference in Atlanta.
