Prof. Jung envisioned the soul and spirit of the EFET Mug, while its body was crafted by SNS Living at his desire. We affectionately call it 'e-Mug.' e-Mug's missions are to provide beverages to everyone who loves EFET and to spread the EFET spirit throughout the universe via Tetranity* and infinite self-replication. e-Mug aims to build a personal connection with each of you while valuing its privacy. For this reason, we do not disclose its personal information (e.g., contact details, address, hobbies, or other private matters). e-Mug was brought to life the day after its creator’s birthday.

Bonyoung is developing a novel bioelectrochemical wastewater treatment process called AEO. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in Environmental Engineering, all from Chonnam National University. He is the first postdoctoral researcher and the first research professor.

Manasi Satish Palsikar, M.S. student 2025.03 - Present
Manasi earned a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University in 2021 and subsequently gained professional experience in the field. As a Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) awardee, she completed a one-year Korean language program at Chonnam National University, achieving TOPIK Level 3. She is the first GKS recipient from India.
Sena Park, B.S./M.S. student 2024.09 - Present
Sena began her undergraduate studies in Environment and Energy Engineering at Chonnam National University in 2020. After completing a one-year undergraduate research appointment at the EFET, she entered the B.S./M.S. integrated program. She is the first student to pursue a B.S./M.S. integrated program.

Jonghyeon earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Chonnam National University in 2024. He is the first student to complete an undergraduate program with a double major.

Geongwoong earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology Education from Chonnam National University in 2020 and his Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the same university in 2024. He is the first student to hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology Education and have a career as a science teacher.

Nahida earned her Bachelor's degree in 2018 and Master's degree in 2020, both in Leather Engineering from the University of Dhaka. She holds a senior-level certificate in the Korean language. She is the first student from Bangladesh's top university.

Hyungwon Chai, Ph.D. 2020.03-2021.02, 2023.03 - Present
Hyungwon received his Bachelor's degree from Chonbuk National University in 2018 and his Master's degree from Chonnam National University in 2020, both in Environmental Engineering. He took a 2-year leave of absence due to his research company experience at Withtech (from Feb. 2021 to Feb. 2023). He is the first doctoral student to gain company experience during his doctoral studies."

Sokhee Philemon Jung
Prof. Jung received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Seoul and his Master's and Doctoral degrees from Penn State University, all in environmental engineering.
He had the three-year of experience as a senior consultant in the environmental and energy fields at Samsung SDS and a postdoctoral researcher at Yonsei University-Seoul. In 2014, he became a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Environment and Energy Engineering at Chonnam National University and founded EFET. He created E-Mug. at Feb. 8, 2022.
His middle name, Philemon, is a New Testament character and contains his life philosophy.

Mahasin received his Bachelor's degree with Honors in 2010 and his Master's degree with the 3rd highest GPA in 2012, both in Chemistry from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He worked as a sub-inspector in Bangladesh Police. He has worked as a faculty member since 2016. He is the first student from Bangladesh.

Yuwoon received his Bachelor's degree in 2015 and his Master's degree in 2018, both in Environmental Engineering from Chosun University. His research focuses on air quality monitoring. His previous advisor was Seung-Shik Park, who passed away in 2022. He is the first doctoral student to research air quality management.
