Software Process Line is the name of the effort of developing a set of software process instances of the same software process family. Software Process Line engineering is an area inspired in Software Product line engineering to fill the needs of software companies that use software processes in large scale.
This site is intended to share the results from a comparative qualitative study about two different aproaches for implementing Software Process Lines. The approaches explored in this work were: compositional approach and annotational approach. Both approaches are widely used in the context of software product lines.
The tools chosen to be compared were: Eclipse Process Framework (EPF) Composer, representing the compositional approach; and GenArch-P, representing the annotational approach.
