Using GenArch-P

Tools and Versions

To the realization of this part of the study were used the following tools:

• Had to be made an adaptation in original GenArch - http://www.inf.puc-rio.br/~ecirilo/genarch/ - to generate the GenArch-P
• The GenArch-P is already in tests and validation phase and it was not yet published as open source tool
• Was used a software process specification in UMA - Unified Method Architecture (IBM proposal for SPEM 2.0)

Process Line Modeling Steps

1. Using as basis a software process specification including all process elements that compose the process line
   1. In the EPF Composer uses the option "File -> Export" to export a XMI file
   2. Int the GenArhc-P create a new project
   3. Import the XMI file to the "src" folder of the GenArch-P's project
2. Use GenArch-P to parse the process specification and generate a simplified representation software process, in a form of hierarchical tree of process elements
   1. On the project uses the option "GenArch -> CreateModels"

1. Make annotations in the process representation, adding features expression
2. Use GenArch-P to generate the process derivation models: feature model and configuration model

Process Derivation Steps

1. Create a new feature configuration from the feature model, on the feature model select the option "New Configuration of Feature"
2. Select the features to compose the new process instance

1. Use GenArch-P to automatic derivation the new software process instance
