Do the names Bertha Ragan Tickey, Joan Joyce, Donna Lopiano, Carol Spanks, Shirley Topley, Diane Kalliam and Mickey Davis sound familiar? How about Billie Harris, Gloria May, Louise Mazzuca, Nancy Welborn, Kay Rich, Marge Ricker and Dot Willkinson? If not, they should. These women were the stars of the pre-Title IX era, and along with thousands of others who played during that era, helped shape the game to where it is now. In appreciation, this web site is dedicated to the players of the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's, their coaches/managers and especially to their fans.
