My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that learning economics should be an engaging, collaborative, and applied experience that connects theory with real-world relevance. I integrate innovative methods such as social networks, classroom games, and research-led assessments to promote curiosity, critical thinking, and communication skills. For instance, through educational initiatives on Instagram and linked open resources, I extend learning beyond the classroom, making abstract concepts accessible in daily life. In lectures and tutorials, I use interactive games, ranging from simulations of market structures to simple activities, to create experiential learning opportunities that help students internalise core concepts. I also design assessments that encourage students to apply economic reasoning to contemporary issues in creative formats, such as blogs aimed at a general audience, to build digital literacy and public engagement skills. Importantly, I see teaching as a two-way dialogue: student voice plays a central role in shaping my practice, and I actively create platforms, events, and collaborations that amplify student perspectives and highlight diverse career pathways. Ultimately, I aim to cultivate not only a deep understanding of economics but also transferable skills and confidence that students can carry into their future professional and personal lives.
