Tenancy Rules Simplified
Use – to be used purely as an allotment garden for the cultivation of fruits and vegetables and for no other purpose
Structures – only by approval, see separate agreement and application - click here for form.
Dogs - must be kept on a lead unless confined by fencing
Hens – only by approval, see separate agreement and application - click here for form.
Bees – only by approval, see separate agreement and application - click here for form.
Bonfires - are not permitted on any of the South Oxhey allotment sites
Cultivation – The plot must be kept in a state of cultivation, clear of weeds and planted appropriate to the time of year.
Access – is restricted to tenants and their families, all persons accessing or working on the site must be supervised at all times by the tenant. Gate access codes should not be shared.
Rubbish –plots should be kept clear of rubbish and rubbish should be removed from site.
Nuisance – be aware of neighbouring properties and any nuisance you may cause. Try not to use noisy equipment, mowers, strimmers
etc before 9am weekdays and 10am weekends.
Fencing - must not be higher than 4ft and must not obstruct light from neighbouring plots
Paths - between plots of 45cm to be maintained and clear of obstruction
Cement/Concrete – Must not be used on site.
Trees – Whilst the tenancy agreement forbids the growing of trees, we do allow trees to be planted providing
they are on dwarf rooting stock and kept below 7ft in height.
