it is important that a minimum of 25% of all tenants attend the AGM. As an Association member it is important to show support for the unpaid voluntary Committee by attending the meeting and having your say in how the allotments are being run.
Please note: Size of plot and financial investment will not be considered,so even the smallest of plots could win.
September 2024
One plot is put forward from each site and these are then independently judged. Trophy will be presented to the winner and runner up and the nominated plots will appear on the Site Photographs page.

Special thanks to Jenny and Barry for their excellent support, and are our heros of this event, helping with set up and shut down in the rain including moving all the plants to and from the site as well as staying at the stand all morning.

SOAA Water Harvesting Project - Kicks off
24.02.2024
This Saturday the SOAA water harvesting project got off to a fantastic start thanks to the very kind donation of 20 IBCs from Mr Andy Moore at Thames Water - Slough
SOAA hired the truck and our wonderful volunteers Julian, Adi and Bohus from the Prestwick Road site conducted the collection and delivery of the IBCs to the plots seamlessly. The collection was broken into 2 trips as the vehicle could only accommodate 10 IBCs at a time. In order to fit the containers into the van properly the wooden bases had to be removed and these were delivered together with the IBC's.
Thank you to all those who came out to assist with moving the IBC's into place. Special mention to Bujar, Reda, Richard and AIan for their help with moving IBC's onto the Prestwick Road site plots.
Happy Water Harvesting to All.

The Association does not run without a committee and would be at great risk of being put under council management or used for development without people stepping up into the available positions. The positions are purely there to administer waiting/ tenancy lists and ensure the rules of our tenancy are adhered to. If you are unsure how you could help speak to a member of the committee, we would love to hear from you.
