Dinesh Kumar is a Ph.D. scholar at the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, since August 2022. He holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology from Arni University.
Dinesh achieved an All India Rank (AIR) of 109 in the CSIR-NET JRF examination in 2022. He also qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in both 2021 and 2022, securing AIR 1520 and 2000, respectively. Additionally, he qualified for the Department of Biotechnology Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) in 2022.
His research focuses on the "Fabrication of polymer and hydrogel-based microneedle patches for transdermal theranostics", aiming to advance therapeutic delivery and diagnostic capabilities. These patches aim to improve the way we deliver treatments and monitor health in a more convenient and non-invasive way. By using these microneedles, he hopes to develop a dual-purpose system that not only delivers medication through the skin but also helps with diagnostic testing, allowing for real-time monitoring of health conditions. Ultimately, his goal is to make medical treatments more effective and accessible, while also improving how we track and diagnose diseases.
