Dr. Dheeraj is working in Plasmonics research area wherein, he is investigating the optical characteristics of nanoparticle aggregates or clusters towards plasmonic photothermal therapy.

Vikas

Ph.D. Scholar (ICMR Fellow)

Vikas received B. Tech. (Electronics and Communication engineering) degree and M. Tech. (Optical Engineering) degree from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana, India. He is pursuing Ph.D. from Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research – Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh (AcSIR-CSIO). He received gold medals in B.Tech and M.Tech for securing the first position in the University.

His research work involves light propagation and characterization of optical properties for a tumor tissue towards plasmonic photothermal therapy.


Sarabjot Kaur

Ph.D. Scholar (CSIR- GATE fellow)

Sarabjot Kaur received B.E. (Biotechnology) degree with 2nd rank from University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. She is pursuing Integrated Dual-degree Ph.D. Program (IDDP) from Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research – Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (AcSIR-CSIO), Chandigarh, India. She secured All India Rank of 169 in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering) 2018. She was awarded CSIR-GATE fellowship since August 2018 for 5 Years.

Her research work involves Investigation of antimicrobial potential of nanoparticles in combination with plasmonic photothermal phenomenon.


Amit Kumar Shaw

Ph.D. Scholar (DBT Project fellow)

Amit Kumar Shaw is PhD scholar in Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research - Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (AcSIR-CSIO) since Jan. 2019. He obtained B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal in 2016. He was awarded M.Tech. (Mechatronics) in 2018 from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. He carried out his masters thesis from CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, India. He is also Project-SRF, since June 2018, in the ongoing project funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), India.

His research work involves Biological Heat Transfer and Photothermal phenomenon in presence of nanoparticles.

Divya Khurana is Ph.D. scholar at the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, since August 2017. She received B.E. (Biotechnology) degree from University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in 2017. She was awarded a gold medal from Panjab University in 2017 for securing the first position in B.E. Biotechnology. She qualified Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering (GATE) in 2017.

Her research work involves plasmonic photothermal based multimodal therapeutics for cancer treatment.
