UCAS Tariff Points

GRADE OFFERS

Many Universities will make their offers in terms of A Level Grades and will normally stipulate three grades in your full A Levels e.g. ABB

Universities may also reduce their offer for a variety of reasons e.g. if you live in a lower participation postcode,  if you successfully complete an Extended Project to a high grade (if this is the case, let your EPQ teacher know), if they are impressed by your personal statement

If they do not actually reduce their offer that does not mean that additional achievements such as EPQ, Duke of Edinburgh, Volunteering are not of value to them.

POINT SCORE OFFERS

Other Universities will specify their offer using a point score system, in which extra qualifications such as fourth AS Levels (including Global Perspectives) or the Extended Project may accumulate additional points towards the total they ask for.  The individual offer will specify this.

The UCAS Tariff for points offers e.g. 120 Points = BBB or ABC
