angular accuracy

Old forum thread on precision.

If angular accuracy is an issue, I would resolve the dimensions to relative x and y coordinates and use them to locate points. It seems easy enough with a spread sheet, and perhaps less time consuming than trolling the help forum.

Allen FYI: Wo3dan did a very nice post on this issue some time ago, sorry did not search for link. The bottom line is a display accuracy vs drawing accuracy. The display accuracy is o.xxx vs the input can be up to 0.xxxxxxxxx+ and when you draw an arc at a given radius and angle ( Length= R x angle(rads) )the model info reports the theoretical length not the the sum of segments, If you explode the arc and then weld back you will get the segment length. So you can use the rotate tool to set a line at a very accurate angle w/o resorting to the spread sheet. The protractor lets you do the same the problem is you cannot measure easily to same accuracy:((
