Faked spotlight pattern in SU

Have been experimenting with faking lighting effects in SU, with limited success, but here's the result of fudging a spotlight effect just in SU.

........and here's the component- a piffling 8kb. When (if) you open the model the first thing you'll see is.....nothing. Well almost nothing, as all the lines in the component are hidden and it is painted with two very faint yellowish materials usefully named Spotlight1 and Spotlight 2. The two colours are needed to produce a slight fade effect at the edge of the pattern, Spotlight1 is the "inside" colour so should be more intense than Spotlight 2, but you'll need to muck around with the colours and level of transparency depending on the shading and what colour your walls and floor are. When placing in a model put the back bottom edge against the joint between wall and floor and then move it up 1mm and forward 1mm to prevent the material shimmering.

Of course it is very limited in it's applications- you can only really use it on vertical flat walls and where there is no furniture beneath, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Have used it quite a few times Richard- the colour scheme goes great with most interiors and it sits especially well with the Poul Kjaerholm coffee table! Thanks for the component.
