SketchUp Web Exporter problem

Hello,

I'm having a problem using the Google SketchUp Web Exporter.

When I click on its icon, the camera automatically move to a certain

distance from the model (depending on the model size). It's annoying

because the camera is often too far away.

How can I do to change it?

Thank you in advance

Jiayi,

The Web Exporter always uses the complete model extents for its work.

If you have any 'outlying' portions you don't want included, you need

to save a copy of the model, and in the copy, delete the outlying

stuff.

(The same issue is apparent in the 3D Warehouse '3D View' feature.)

I made a youtube totorial on how to hack the output from the exporter plugin, it requires a little creative work on your part, but results in custom animation output.

Matt,

Nice descriptive video!

Folks, also see the concept3D 'front door' blog entry for the YouTube

video. Be sure to 'mouse over' the text, to see an example 'swivel'

page.

Hi Taff,

I went to that page, but got no "mouse over" action. It seems to just

have a low res version of the video tutorial.

What am I missing?

August,

Mouse-over the text, "...example created from the plugin

here." (Actually, just the "...here")

For some reason, the blog is formatted so that links don't appear in a

different color (at least, not on my browser.) Essentially, the links

are "invisible." You have to rely on mouse-over to see them.

Thanks for pointing out the lack of link "identification" guys! I will look into fixing that. In the meantime, that swivel example page is up at http://www.chamberz.com (although someday it might move in case some future someone does not find it there).

Also FWIW, the swivel example is not quite as smooth on a Mac browser, if anyone knows why I would love to find out!

Jiayi, did that make sense? If not let me know what you are trying to do and maybe I could walk you through the steps.
