On behalf of the SVA Board of Directors, we extend our most sincere apologies for the errors contained in the recent ballot packet distributed to our membership. We deeply regret the confusion and inconvenience this has caused, and we are committed to correcting the issue with transparency and care.
In light of these errors, the Annual General Board Meeting originally scheduled for Sunday, October 5th, will be rescheduled to Sunday, November 9th at 3:30 PM, held at the SVA Clubhouse. This change allows us the necessary time to ensure all materials are accurate and complete.
We are currently preparing a revised and updated packet, which will be mailed to all members. This new packet will include:
• Compiled minutes from the 2024 Annual General Meeting, based on notes and documentation gathered from that meeting, as the office did not have the minutes on file. These minutes will be presented for approval at the 2025 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 9th at 330 PM.
• A corrected and updated ballot
• The proposed 2026 Budget
• The meeting agenda for the rescheduled November 9th Annual Meeting.
Please note:
• All previously returned ballots will be discarded.
• The Board will only record and count ballots submitted using the updated packet.
• The new deadline for ballot submission is Monday, November 3rd.
Please note that only members in good standing will be eligible to receive a ballot. All members will receive the new updated packet. If you do not receive a ballot and believe you are entitled to one, please get in touch with the office. So we can rectify any issues.
