Residents are reminded that per Sierra View Rules and Regulations 8., Public Order and Safety, Item A states: "Fireworks of any and all types are prohibited within the boundaries of SVA, with the exception of hand held sparklers, not to exceed fourteen inch maximum length, when used in the presence of an adult. This rule is enacted due to the high probability of resulting brush fires."
Please remember that while enjoying the Fourth of July, that although PA. has made some Fireworks legal, they are NOT allowed in Sierra View. Only small hand held sparklers are allowed. Any other Fireworks used in Sierra View are subject to a Zero Tolerance citation and Fine without any warning. Check the rules and regulations in the Document Center if you are unsure what is allowed.
Code Enforcement Officers will be patrolling Sierra View throughout the Summer, and if prohibited fireworks use is observed, the officer will take photographs, document the address, and a citation and fine will be issued and mailed.
Prohibited fireworks use is a Zero Tolerance violation. No warnings will be given, and no contact will be made with those committing the violation.
