Adult Membership

Our membership includes not only those who wish to act but those who prefer to work on set design, construction and painting,

lighting, props & décor, wardrobe, publicity and front of house at the theatre during our productions.

You will receive mailings which will include notices of auditions, social events and our ever popular newsletter ‘By the Byes’.

At £20 per annum for adults, it provides excellent value for money.

Information regarding applying for membership.

The aims of the Society are to promote the art of Drama and to present 1 play and a pantomime to the general public on an annual basis.

The productions are staged at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth. Rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings,

These take place at our Headquarters, Woolcombe Hall, Lawn Vista, Sidmouth EX10 9BY which is situated in the Byes.

We also run Junior and Youth groups on Wednesday evenings during term time, at the same venue, The junior group runs from 6.00pm-7.30pm and the youth group from 7.30pm-9.00pm.

We build and paint our own scenery, so help is always wanted in this department as well as other backstage areas.

Woolcombe Hall also houses our extensive wardrobe department which is not only for our own use but is also available for hire. Help is needed in making and modifying costumes.

During our productions at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, we also provide our own Front of House staff, so whatever your interests are, there will be a warm welcome for you in SADS

Annual subscription

£20.00 for adults

£35.00 for family membership (to include two adults and children 16 yrs and under)

£10.00 for junior/youth between the ages of 8-16 plus £5.00 termly fees

£15.00 for junior/youth between the ages of 16-18 plus £5.00 termly fees

Payable to "SADS" on application by either cheque or cash and thereafter on the 1st April each year.

Subscriptions may also be paid annually by standing order. Please print bank form from the heading ‘Forms ‘standing order.

Members are encouraged to take an active part in all productions.

All applications are submitted to the SADS Committee for approval therefore a short time may elapse before your membership is confirmed.
