My Models - cont.
9 - NSWGR C 38 - 4 - 6 - 2. in 5" G
This is a very popular pacific in NSW / Australia , a mixed traffic type engine , 30 engines were build locally , three engines are preserved , the first five were streamlined and the rest regular design , mine was no 3813 non streamline engine , these models are powerful and have very good traction effort , good haulers . I used the engine for a while but as I built new engines the interest changes and eventually I sold the engine and to my knowledge it runs regularly hauling people and giving pleasure to a lot young in heart . This also was a very popular engine in NSW , a large number of these locomotives were built and used over a long period , some were painted Royal blue for royal services when required , my model was no 3617 which was blue as you can see in the attachments , however I sold the engine to a member in our club and he repainted the engine green and renumbered it 3609 and I admit that he did a great job and actually it looks better than before .

This is the same as before only in smaller scale ( 1/2 the size of the above ) and also this one was built with round top boiler as original ( proto type ) , the purpose of this model was mainly to place it in glass cabinet in the sitting room , the boiler was certified and the engine run only once and then stored in the glass cabinet . That is where it will remain . See attachments .
