I started in this hobby in 1980 , the first model I started was Clayton Lorry , this required a lathe , which I bought and learned to use , before I finished this I started a 0 - 4 - 0 Conway locomotive in 3.5" G free lance and as time passed I got hooked on this hobby , I joined a club ( Western District Live Steamers ) at Fairfield , NSW , Australia . I have been member there since then , Among some responsibilities in the club I am one of the boiler inspectors in the club . To this day 7 / 11 / 2011 I have built 23 locomotives in 2.5" G , 3.5" G , 5" G & 7.25" G plus one lorry and one traction engine . I have started another engine in 5"G ( NSWGR C17 ).I have also built a number of rolling stock , riding carriages and few stationary engines including a beam engine . Up to date over the years I have sold 16 of these engines , one ( SMR10 ) and one cattle wagon in 7.25" G was STOLEN in Dec/2000, only 8 remaining with me plus rolling stock .
I like to share my experience with other people .
