I am Shigeharu Okajima.  I am an associate Professor at Kobe University. My research interests are Applied Econometrics, Computational Statistics,  Behavioral and Energy Economics, Indestrial Organizarion, and Labor and Health Economics.

My research agenda centers on how market design and information frictions shape behavior and welfare, and how policy interventions can improve market efficiency in real-world settings.

In particular, I examine the extent to which individuals and firms engage in “cheating” behaviors—such as misreporting and rule manipulation—and how these behaviors affect market outcomes and policy effectiveness.
