As a civic association, we have made many visible improvements to our community over the years, which include: changing the priority of Pennyfield Avenue with regard to snow removal, having new street signs installed, having a polling place established in our clubhouse, etc.
Our organization also provides members and area residents with:
(1) a place to come for help and get information,
(2) a summer recreation program that is safe, friendly and affordable
(3) a senior program and other social functions, etc..
Our organization from time to time has donated the clubhouse and its facilities for use by other non-profit organizations such as the: Girl Scouts, American Legion, Throggs, Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corp., Planning Board 10, A.A.R.P., etc.
Our organization has been or is involved with many other Bronx organizations: Community Planning Board #10, Save our Neck Coalition, North Bronx Neighborhood Restoration Association, Throggs Neck Homeowners, Veterans Memorial Park at Weir Creek Advisory Council, Citywide Homeowner Coalition concerning the 100% Tax Valuation, Member Council on the Arts, etc.
